Tonight's CNN special looking at how to create jobs includes a segment on the College of Nanoscale Sciences and Engineering at the University at Albany and an interview with Alain Kaloyeros, who heads the college.
But the opening segment could also have been filmed here. That one focuses on Siemens' apprenticeship program that trains high school students to be highly skilled machinists and shows one young woman working at Siemens' power generation equipment plant in the United States.
General Electric Co., of course, works closely with Hudson Valley Community College to train employees who work at its power systems plant in Schenectady.
Had CNN focused on GE, it could have saved some air fare.
