IBM has reassured its partners at Albany NanoTech on Monday that the company is committed to the projects there, extending its partnership another five years.
That announcement is expected Monday afternoon at a ribbon cutting ceremony for UAlbany's NanoTech Campus. Governor David Paterson and other state leaders will be present.
This all comes after IBM recently announced a new round of nationwide job cuts, which will likely affect employees in Duchess County.
IBM is promising hundreds of new jobs at the UAlbany facility.
