Gov. Eliot Spitzer is scheduled to tour the state University at Albany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering Monday.
It will be Spitzer's first official tour of the college, located on the $4.2 billion Albany NanoTech campus on Fuller Road in Albany, N.Y.
Spitzer is scheduled to tour the site and then participate in a roundtable discussion.
The state University at Albany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering has been ranked No. 1 among worldwide universities in nanotechnology and microtechnology, according to Small Times magazine.
Last year, for the second consecutive year, UAlbany's NanoCollege was ranked No. 1 overall by Small Times. The nanocollege ranked first in facilities and education; second in commercialization; sixth in research; eighth among peers for commercialization; and 10th among peers in both research and micro commercialization.
