Representatives of the state University at Albany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering will join in ringing the closing bell at Nasdaq Tuesday.
The nanocollege, ranked No. 1 in nanotechnology by Small Times magazine, and AeA, the nation's largest high-tech trade association, will lead a delegation of New York technology companies and organizations at the bell ringing.
"The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering is pleased to join with AeA, the world's leading high-tech trade association, and a select group of internationally recognized, New York-based technology companies to ring the closing bell at Nasdaq," said Alain Kaloyeros, vice president and chief administrative officer of the nanocollege.
Kaloyeros said the event reflected the global mission of the nanocollege "and our commitment to advancing the critical enabling power of nanotechnology, which will have significant educational and economic impact in the years to come."
