Speakers will present to the audience an overview of their current programs and how their products and the industry are being shaped by nanotechnology. Following the presentations, the speakers will engage in a panel discussion to answer attendees' questions and also identify and discuss obstacles and opportunities in the solar cell industry. The panel portion of the forum will be moderated by Dr. Pradeep Haldar.
Presentations will discuss the benefits that nanotechnology provides in the manufacture of solar cells. Examples include: reduced manufacturing costs as a result of using low temperature processes; reduced installation costs achieved by producing light weight flexible rolls instead of rigid crystalline panels; increased efficiency through the use of enhanced light absorbing materials, and improved metallization with lower losses.
