NEESC: Tools for NY Small Business Participation in the Hydrogen/Fuel Cell Industry
The Northeast Electrochemical Energy Storage Cluster (NEESC
at www.neesc.org) is a network of industry, academic, government and non-profit organizations, focused on the development, production and commercialization of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, providing domestic energy and environmental solutions to the US and the world. The Cluster's formal organization is funded by the
US SBA's "Innovative Economies Initiative
", to drive small business growth in this sector across the 7-state region spanned from New York to Maine.
Dan Connors, on behalf of the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, will present NEESC's ongoing work to support hydrogen/fuel cell economic development in the Northeast and introduce some tools specifically intended to empower small businesses in the industry. Mr. Connors, a BS Chemical Engineering and MBA/Marketing, has 30+ years experience in conventional and alternative energy and process systems, including five years as CEO of a fuel cell technology startup company.
