Getting Started - Wafer Processing Request

Step 1:

Contact Frank Tolic, Associate Vice President for Business, Wafer Processing. Frank can advise you on the feasibility of your proposed project, give you an estimated timeline and cost estimate.

Step 2:

Upon this initial contact, you will be asked to submit a brief 3rd Party Wafer Request form. Download the Adobe PDF file here.

Step 3:

Once CNSE has received the 3rd Party Wafer Request form, film stack drawings, mask information (if applicable), wafer information (if applicable), metrology requirements and other pertinent processing information, we will do a final sizing of the project and send you a quote.

Step 4:

Upon acceptance of the SUNY Poly processing flow and quote, we will prepare a wafer processing contract letter for your review and signature. This is signed by you and returned with a PO for the wafer processing. Electronic copies of the signed wafer letter and PO are the fastest way to get the project started.

To ensure we have all the details and requirements correct, the entire process of setting up a new project will take approximately two weeks. Once we are aware of your research needs, we will put your project into the fabrication queue to begin processing your wafer.

Please feel free to contact Frank Tolic by email or phone (518-956-7221) for more information or with any questions you may have.
