The Business Review: Students square off in regional business plan competition today in Albany
The Business Review
Students from area colleges will present their business plans today for a regional competition of the statewide business plan competition at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in Albany, NY.
About 30 teams of students from local colleges, including the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, University at Albany, Skidmore College, Albany Law School, Sage College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, will compete for entrance into the final round of the statewide competition.
Today's event is one of 10 regional competitions that will feed into a statewide competition on April 25. The final round of competition--the largest student competition of its kind in the northeast--will be held at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. More than 500 teams will compete for more than $500,000 in prizes. Last year's winning team at the statewide competition presented a plan for a software system that creates three-dimensional scenes from verbal descriptions.
