Albany – Xerox will relocate a manufacturing operation from China to
the nanotechnology center in Canandaigua, Ontario County, Gov. Andrew
Cuomo will announce Thursday.
The move will mean 100 jobs over
five years at the growing SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and
Engineering (CNSE) Smart System Technology & Commercialization
Center in Canandaigua. The state is kicking in $750,000 to help the
college set up the new facility, according to the details obtained by
Gannett's Albany Bureau.
It's the second jobs announcement this
week at the Canandaigua center, which merged in 2010 with the successful
nano center at SUNY Albany.
