Utica-Observer Dispatch: $1.5 billion investment and 1,500 jobs headed to SUNYIT

Advanced Nanotechnology Solutions Inc. will bring 1,000 jobs to the facility, and the SEMATECH consortium of computer chip companies will bring hundreds more.

Getting those groups on board will up the total public and private investment at the site to $1.5 billion dollars.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo, flanked at SUNYIT by CEOs, academics and local officials, said nanotechnology is “a juggernaut for the activation of the entire economy.”
