UTICA — The Mohawk Valley has been waiting for a long time to hear who will be
occupying the $125 million Computer Chip Commercialization Center at
On Thursday, details began to emerge.
Advanced Nanotechnology Solutions Inc. will bring 1,000 jobs to the
facility, and the SEMATECH consortium of computer chip companies will
bring hundreds more.
Getting those groups on board will up the total public and private investment at the site to $1.5 billion dollars.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo, flanked at SUNYIT by CEOs, academics and local
officials, said nanotechnology is “a juggernaut for the activation of
the entire economy.”
