G450C Statistician (Part-time) - Albany
Under direction of the supervisor, the Statistician will work with G450C equipment engineers to perform statistical analyses of large datasets created using the program’s Demonstration Test Methodology. In this role the individual will work with the G450 project staff to analyze program data by designing/reviewing case reports, create data transfer specification, participation in acceptance testing; generate data tables/listings and coordinate data review meetings to ensure data quality. This position will be at 50% effort with the possibility of evolving into a Full-time position as the program statistical analysis needs increase.
In addition, the position will:
- Work with G450C Staff to set up testing and gather resulting data
- Perform and critique statistical computing tasks including multivariate analyses of outcome data and analysis of variance.
- Analyze research data and conduct individual statistical assignments requiring planning, information assembly, analysis and evaluation, conclusions, and report preparation
- Review statistical outputs and data for inconsistencies. Function as a first-pass reviewer on G450C reports containing statistical content.
- Report analyses so the project team can make program decisions regarding tool readiness.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.
A.A./A.S. degree in math, finance, accounting, or related discipline from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization or a minimum of 5 years in Statistics and/or business-related projects OR equivalent educational and professional experience and training.
This position requires a strong quantitative orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a working knowledge of software such as JMP, R, SAS, and/or Python, demonstrated technical writing skills, Strong teamwork ability/commitment and individual initiative, and Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must address in their applications their ability to work with culturally diverse populations. This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
